Beurocracy – it sucks

So today I’ve been seething all day, I’ve come to the conclusion that bureaucracy sucks and that people have no common sense.
Unfortunately such is life that all we can do is grin and bear it. We are currently swamped under with work due to the rig being new and so much materials being needed and yet we are only being hindered by others. It sucks, big time.
I always take pride in my work and my ability to be efficient and always pull through, but this is just making things fucking impossible in some respects. Holding on and hoping it’s going to get better is always the hope, but I fear the only thing that is going to change things is when people start resigning as a result. Time will tell.

I have been of the increasing opinion that life in Australia is becoming more and more like a police state.
Every day new rules and regulations are being imposed, a parallel could be drawn between us and the UK except our laws are progressing along a slightly different path from theirs, still, it won’t be long till we see facial recognition cameras in north bridge, and then everywhere else. I’m not a big conspiracy theorist, I can just recognise a trend when I see it.

The problem as I see it, is that the more laws you put on people the less free they feel and the more laws they are likely to break. If you look at a ‘lax’ country like the Rarotonga, everyone is chilling out, relaxing and going about their daily life without the need for a mountain of legislation to guide their every move. Utopia will not ever be achieved by forcing people to behave in a certain way, rather it will come of relaxation of the laws, freedom, and a change of ATTITUDE of both the government and the populace.
