Crazy kiwi customs

So here I am @ Melb airport, going to buy duty free for Auckland. I read somewhere yesterday that you were allowed 1125ml of alcohol. However, this was some redundant website that I had found as the NEW rules stipulate 3 bottles of spirits (regardless of size, just think about those big jonnie walker bottles that come with their own stands) PLUS 6 bottles of wine.. :S crazy!!! Being that Im not going to NZ to kill my liver I decided quality rules over quantity and purchased just the two bottled of glenfiddich, a 15 year cask strength (51%!!) and an 18 year.

Flight over was not bad, had problems sleeping due to nosiy babies (they should just have a mothers + babies section at the back of the plane, then they could all sit together) and I managed to get a bit more sleep at the actual airport, as I am writing this from the departure gate, I’ll prob sneak another hour in before the plane is ready for boarding.
