So far, so good :)
Posted by tmz_99 on September 4th, 2006 filed in UncategorizedI’ve been a little busy, but here’s the gist of what has been going on:
Went to see Silent Hill last night, found it a great movie less a few logical loopholes that were evident, such as the lack of a clear time of death for the main protagonist, also the lack of aging as in regards to the police officer (I assume it’s the same one from 30 years ago, due mostly to the burn marks on his hands). Liked the themes of good going evil and evil being rightchous. Not overly gorey yet the visuals were stirking. Also loved the way they incorporated the game mechanics into the movie, much better and less tacky then in Doom. Solid 7/10.
Next movie to see will be Dead or Alive come Thursday. Looks like movies-from-video-games month for me 🙂
Anyways,
On Holidays: Just booked my NZ flight 🙂 I will be leaving here at 2235 on Oct the 1st, arriving in Melbs at 0400 and hanging around till 1055 (purposely long so I can catch up with Uncle Tony 🙂 ). Before finally hitting Auckland at 1715.
Going to be back in Perth around 2240 on the 15th of October. Now to book the Sydney trip for Jan.
On The Bike: I’ve been practicing, am now able to pull a burnout off without any effort, am working on being able to wheelie it successfuly, at the moment dropping it @ 10,000 revs gets the wheel off the ground but only for 4-5 metres. Am slowly getting used to balancing like that so just wait and see.
On Computers: Am still addicted to Oblivion.. god damn, addictive game that is..
On the house: Did the final inspection the other day, and have signed the cert of practical completion. Meaning I should get the keys around Thursday or Friday this week. Have already got the tiles, some nice 500x500mm porcelain jobs and the carpet worked out for the cinema room, just have to work out the click-together wood for the bedrooms now… should be done before tomorrow.
On The Weekend Gone: I managed to get along to Pam’s housewarming, her house with it’s pool, large back yard and plenty of seating lends itself very well to entertaining. Thanks Pam!!! I did however miss Clare’s fruit party as a result (I thought it was on the Sunday – it obviously wasn’t).
On Friday night me, Jeeves and Jo went to Cracovia for Kareoke, then the Dolls House (my sister is well know there it seems) before going off to Connections. I love going out with my sister but I’m not meeting any women at gay clubs…. Hopefully I can pull her along elsewhere next week, at least for a while.. 🙂

You’re going to have to post a vid of you popping a wheelie Tom. And it sounds like you’re going to be an intrepid explorer over the next few months. Paying you too much at work?
