Back on the rig and just itching to get off…
Posted by tmz_99 on February 10th, 2006 filed in UncategorizedI got back Thursday, sure, some things happened between the last post and today and some of them notable but Im sure that the almost diary-esque type of dribbel this site has been of late must by now have made staples necessary to keep your eyes open.
Suffice to say that the last few days home were rushed as always and resulted in my car FINALLY having bodywork begun on it once more and a somewhat concrete completion time – 15 weeks.
It seems like the 1st day on the rig is always somewhat of a numbing experience, partially due to the long long day and partially due to the sudden deprevation from land -life. This time I have taken a camera with me but neglected to bring the cord, so any photos of note will be displayed in 3 weeks time. 🙂
Speaking of 3 weeks time, the plan is to get the hell out of Perth for a spot of escapism, the two current holiday destinations are NZ (Auckland) and Thailand (a medley of destinations that would end up with me being at the full moon party). I’m intending on visiting both this year but due to financial reasons I will have to take the cheaper of the two this time around and do the other in July.
Movie Review: Flight Plan

Although Jodie Foster always reminds me of something Michael Jackson has modeled himself on her blank fish stare serves well in this movie as a semi-psychotic mother who’s child is lost on a plane. I’ve always found plane movies to be rather plain (haha.. yeah, ok.. King of bad jokes and all) mainly due to the limited scenery. The plane in question this time is the largest of the Boeing fleet and makes me slightly jelous for due to the mini-jets I usually end up flying in.
The tension is kept high throughout the movie, mainly due to the acting prowess of Michael Jackson and his pet monkey.. erm.. I mean Jodie and the captain of the plane. The only thing truly dissapointing in this movie is the somewhat soppy ending that really convered ALL bases and left no loose ends, which makes me feel somewhat stupid for having to be fed conclusions…. meh,
