Spend nightmares down at the drive in – they have a booth for that sort of thing

I have to say I was once again plesantly surprised by this movie. I expected to watch a movie akin to “Weekend at Bernies” (which wouldn’t have been such a bad thing, it was a classic) and what I got to watch was a much much darker version thereof with less wacky corpse action and more family dynamics.
I really wanted to use the term dysfunctional-family or maybe quirky-people in this review until it dawned on me that this movie is more then likely a portrayal of normal people and the way they would react. Rare is it that a “normal” movie or TV dynamic actually exists, all families hold their own secrets, the things that seperate them from other families and so forth, so that being said this movie is really about normal people killing their parents. Not something I’d consider doing myself but the movie explains why this would occur pretty early in the game.
The acting (especially from the kids) is really top notch. I’m quite sure we’ll be seeing big things from these actors in the future.
6.5/10
