Lucy is back!

Lucy, or sanity as I like to call her, is back once again. I got enough sleep last night, it wasnt until 8am that I found myself waking to pain and puss in my throat at unbearable levels. Today I got put onto anibiotics, so I hope this is the last time I have that pleasant experience for a while. 🙂

I have enough movies for a movie every two days, maybe more, so onwards with the first review of the season!! 🙂

DOOM

I really went in wanting to like this movie, it’s a video game franchise, which means that if it was a good movie, it’d be a GREAT movie but if it was a bad movie, it was bound to be attrocious. Sadly it is the latter.
It mimicks the game in setting and in visual style, but doesn’t take the same storyline. In the movie the monsters are a result of genetic research rather then a gateway to hell. However I guess a player gets hours to reveal the story of doom whilst the movie goer only gets 90 minutes.
The acting is what could be expected and I’m glad the rock was in fact not the hero charachter. Other actors are relative unknowns who’s acting differs between attrocious to not too bad. Basically a bad zombie flick in space.
All up it is a solid effort that doesn’t fall short of expectations only becasue they were so low to begin with.
