How wild IS a wildfire??

I have to say there is a lot of things wrong with this movie. The acting is sometimes amateurish, the special effects are a mix of stock news footage and photoshop. In fact, I went into this movie with a very negative expectation of what it was going to be. A convict woman figting bushfires, lame huh?
However, for all that, I have to say the movie DOES have some charm. The storyline is good and would lend itself very well to a bigger budget.
The charachters are well drawn, we learn just enough about them to make them stand out individually and have some vested interest in what happens to them.
The ‘evil’ charachters are particulary funny, not only because they are evil, but becasue they are two of the worst acted in the movie, it REALLY makes you hate them, somehow bad actors seem more evil that they make you sit through their performances. This works out very well, as in every scene they crop up you WANT them to die or fail or incur bodily harm.
I give this movie a resounding 6.5/10. It’s not worth searching through the video stand for it, but if there’s nothing else, this is not a movie to shy away from.

Other than that, we will be moving tomorrow or the day after, so I’ll be offline for a while.. 🙂
