Overall I’m quite happy with this, thanks Qantas.. 🙂 🙂

On Mobile Phones

I tend to be a big fashion person when it comes to my mobile phones, I tend to buy phones primarily for their looks with features being a secondary consideration.
At the moment my contract is soon to expire and I’ve started looking around tentatively for a mobile phone to replace my current offering, what I’ve found is two phones, the nokia 8800 and the Samsung Z500 are probably the two on the market which I’m currently attracted to.

The 8800 is a bit dear coming in at $1500 retail, the Z500 much cheaper being avaiable for around the $600 mark. However the samsung has 3G features whilst the 8800 is just damn sexy. The problem arises when I look at two phones I have owned in the past, the 8810 and E700 (by nokia and samsung respectively).

The phones are near identical, the E700 has had almost ZERO progression looks wise to the Z700 and the 8800 is almost identical (although to be fair it is a different material, but having held one on Thursday even FEELS the same (a LITTLE bit more solid)). So should I spend money on something that looks the same? *sigh*…waiting on a market to be innovative can take some time.

On Dreams

I had a bizzare dream last night that I was marrying someone and I had the choice between two people (whom I both know and who thankfuly are far from fugly, both quite nice people really) but that aside they were getting pissed off at me… or something.. psychologicaly the most bizzare dream I’ve had all week.

We are preparing to rigmove, so I’ll probably get another post in tomorrow then be silent for a few days, this will be a long move and will be associated with 45-50 min helicopter flights henceforth.
