An exploding paint ball.
The ball would have a timer that would randomly go off, no more then 10 minutes after it had been set and then explodes. The player(s) covered in paint would then be sent off for the remainder of the game.
This would provide huge benefits to the game:
1.) Players would move quicker, no-one wanting to hold onto the ball for more time then was necessary.
2.) Sometimes a teams greatest player would be sent off, leading to some interesting situations
3.) Sometimes the ball would explode in mid air, paining no-one and making everybody sigh thankfuly.
This wouldn’t replace cricket, it’d just be noir-cricket, a mass spectator sport, with cheerleaders.. All professional sports deserve professional cheerleading (male and femals of course – I’m not being bias, they just spice up any sport 🙂 ).

Other than that, I have Mondayitis today. It’s hard to believe that such a thing could exist on an oil rig, but it does. Monday is the day were everybody on shore who had the weekend off realises that the people on the rig in fact did not, hence they try to play catchup… 🙁 Playing catchup for them of course puts more stress on myself, that and having stuff 1/2 done left in hyroglyphics by my relief didn’t help much either. Enough bitching 😛

Review: Oil Storm

Oil storm is a made for TV mockumentary of made up news footage about the oil crisis that hit the US after a cat 6 cyclone hit Louisiana. Strangely enough it was made in 2004 by british producers, so the show turned out to be strangely prophetic.
The research that had gone into this nightmare scenario was astounding with the whole situation being very probable. The film includes “home footage” from families involved in the crisis (and all were, no family was left untouched) and had some touching moments which had me trying to look like there were no tears running down my face in case somebody walked in…
Overall it’s really a brilliant piece of film that is shot in a novel way, a true leader in it’s field.
Being made for TV I’m not sure where you could find a copy, I suggest your local p2p network 🙂 🙂 (or those of you who know me, could ask me).. 🙂
9/10

I am trying to sell people on my noir-cricket concept.
